REALTORS Convention: An Award-Winning Experience

I recently returned from the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Annual Convention and Expo in Anaheim, California. (#narannual) What a great experience!

This is the first time I’ve attended this event. But I certainly didn’t feel like I was among strangers. For almost ten years I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Real Estate Buyers’ Agent Council (REBAC), developing content for their monthly publication Today’s Buyer’s Rep, as well as other materials for their members and the home buyers they serve.

Working in partnership with the exceptional staff at NAR who manage REBAC’s ongoing activities, I’ve been fortunate to connect with so many industry thought leaders. From real estate educators and practitioners to experts in research, social media, technology and more, they’ve all been generous in sharing their knowledge, which in turn supports REBAC’s ongoing mission: to arm Accredited Buyer’s Representatives with tools and resources that lead to greater success and help consumers receive the best in buyer representation services.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the trip came at REBAC’s networking reception, where along with four other honorees, I was inducted into REBAC’s 2011 Hall of Fame. Such an honor to join this distinguished group!

The REALTORS Conference and Expo also offers countless networking and learning opportunities, whether chatting with other participants and exhibitors, or attending formal educational sessions. If you want to recharge your batteries with fresh ideas and inspiration, carve out time for next year’s event, or other meetings closer to home.

The only thing I regret is the lack of time to take advantage of all the new ideas gained on this trip. But if you stop by this blog again (and I hope you do) I’m sure you’ll find bits and pieces of inspiration appearing in future posts.
